I was asked to create a mural for ASK Italian in their Castleford. Based on Naples, a tropical landscape trails across the wall, falling out into surrounding areas. The mural is an escape into the best of what naples has to offer, a sanctuary, to enjoy whilst spending time in the restaurant. Luscious turquoise and greens from the ocean and pops of pastels as abstract forms are taken from its landscape, with foliage found in the area, hibiscus flowers, Xanthosoma and brightly coloured European Bee Eater Birds. With contrast, thick abstract pastel squares are painted of the Neapolitan architecture which surround embrace the landscape.
