I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again” – Lewis Carol

Distant Winters shows our vulnerability and the value of life.  Its about shedding the Winter and stepping into the spring with new life and letting go of the things that happened during Winter.  I took influence from patterns and adornments from the Native tribes that my Dad used to study and paint.  Its painted on a hand stretched canvas which is signed on the front.
