“She was chaos and beauty interwind. A tornado of roses from divine.” – Shakieb Orgunwall

This painting was part of a mini series made for International Women’s Day. The portrait shows our strength and femininity, our ability to bloom and flourish through life ups and downs. I want to create a positive portrait of women, to make them feel like anything is possible. It was in an exhibition at the Ollie Quinn flagship store in Covent Garden, London. I layered watered down acrylics with spray paint to create a really soft feeling. The vibrant colours give life to wherever she hangs. She’s painted onto a hand stretched canvas with is signed on the front.
