I want to support creatives, not restrict them and so offer fair image licensing terms to my customers. As entrepreneurs and creatives, we can all agree that there’s nothing worse when you see your work being used without your consent or in terms that you didn’t originally specify. As a business owner and creative, I know that you value integrity and so I ask all of my customers to respectfully uphold the terms and conditions as listed below.

Purchase:

Your purchase includes a non-exclusive, limited use Standard License, for the relevant artwork/asset, as-is. The artist Hannah Adamaszek retains ownership, copyright, all other rights and reserves free use of the artwork. You may use the artwork for commercial use (one that involves exchange of money, promotes a business, product or service, or where financial gain is sought), and for non-commercial or personal use. ‘Non-exclusive’ means that more than one license is available at a time, per artwork – the artwork will be available to other licensees. ‘Worldwide’ means you are allowed to distribute products or publications containing the artwork anywhere in the world.

This purchase is non-refundable.

The artist is under no obligation to provide alterations or additions to the purchased artwork.

You Can:

  • Use images for personal or business use for both online and in print.
  • Edit and arrange the images in anyway that you wish - change colours, add filters, crop, overlay the image with text etc. Feel free to get creative.
  • You may create physical end-products such as, but not limited to: apparel/clothing, cards and greeting cards, invitations, stickers, mugs, stamps, candles, stationery, posters, signs, home decor, etc. for commercial or non-commercial use.
  • You may create packaging or promotional products such as, but not limited to, boxes, labels, stickers, containers, branding and marketing collateral, etc., for commercial or non-commercial use, and for resale or wholesale purposes.
  • You may use the asset in digital or print publications such as magazines, cards, invitations, photo albums, and scrap books, e-books or e-publications, for commercial or non-commercial use. However, images must be flattened as part of the design (so they can not be extracted) and must not be the main component of the product/download. To clarify, whether free or offered as an End Product for sale, it is NOT OK to use the images/mockups/scene creators themselves (even if they’ve been edited) as the download.
  • You are permitted to add typography to the artwork. You are permitted to isolate elements of the artwork to adapt for use, but reselling these adaptations or elements as files or licenses (in competition with the original artwork licensor) is strictly prohibited.
  • Use the images an unlimited amount of times for personal projects and your own business, so for example you are permitted to use images on your own website, blog posts and social media.
  • You are permitted to re-save the file as a jpeg/png/pdf etc. as best suits your usage needs. You are permitted to alter the colours of the layers as suits your usage needs (this is easily achieved using the ‘Layer style’ > ‘Color overlay’ function in Photoshop). You are permitted to create new compositions using elements of the artwork, however, this does not constitute a new copyright work, and cannot be sold as a digital asset or file download for third parties to use.

You Cannot:

  • Claim the image as your own. Hannah Adamaszek owns the original rights to the image and as a customer you are agreeing to simply use the images in the ways outlined in these terms.
  • Use the images to create derivative digital products such as mockups or templates.
  • Re-distribute, sell or lend the image to third parties in any way. Not even a little bit. A great deal of time and love goes into creating these images especially for my customers and so please do respect me as a creator and the work that goes into creating the images.
  • This artwork is not to be sub-licensed or resold as a digital artwork file or source file, including any modification of the file or in any way that is otherwise competitive with the original artwork.
  • Use the images to promote illegal activity, pornography or to spread negative messages. Just no. Let’s keep things above board and positive.
  • Copyright: You may not claim the asset (or a modification thereof) as its own copyrighted work.

Can I use images in a website design for a client?

Yes. If you are a designer and wish to incorporate the image in a clients website design, please note that you are permitted to use Hannah Adamaszek's images as long as the design is for one client. The image must be a flattened. You are not permitted to pass the original image file to the client.

You may use the image throughout the one project, so long as the deliverables do not allow for the original source file to be extracted.

Can I use the same image for multiple clients?

No. For example if you were creating a website design for a particular client, you could use Hannah Adamaszek’s images for that one client, but you wouldn’t be able to use the same images for another client. Not that you would of course, as we know you like to keep things fresh and original but we just wanted to make sure things are clear there. One way to combat this would be to either request that your client purchases the image, or you purchase the image on their behalf.

Can I use images to a create derivative products to sell or distribute?

Under the Standard License supplied with any purchase of a digital download on this site you are permitted to create an End Product.

There are some terms that apply, though. Please note that you are only allowed to use my images in End Products when the End Product does not compete with the original product in any way. For example, you can’t edit my pictures or and then re-sell or share them as images. Adjusting the product even slightly with a colour or font change does not mean that you can pass off the designs or mockups as your own to sell or share.

My images can be used in an End Product so long as the original image cannot be extracted. Remember, you must not redistribute the original files in any way. So, you can use my images as part of a design where the image has been edited (cropped, with text or graphic overlays etc) but the final design must be flattened.

You cannot use my images in website themes or design templates that you intend to sell. This would mean that my images would be redistributed and so if you would like to do that, you’ll need to get in touch to discuss Extended License options. You are permitted to use my images in a mockup demonstrating a website theme or template, but you must state that they are for display purposes only and are not included in the purchase. You are not permitted to include them with the product.

Files

You are purchasing digital artwork files, and a download link will be emailed to you upon receipt of payment. Please download and save these files to your own hard drive/computer – you are responsible for file management post-purchase.

Intellectual Property

The artist Hannah Adamaszek retains ownership of the artwork, but grants you the limited, two-year, non-transferable, and non-sub-licensable permission to use the artwork as outlined above. All other rights are reserved by the artist. This purchase does not grant you any rights to trademark, copyright, interest, title or any other intellectual property rights in the artwork.
